Museums and Sites
It's hard to believe that all of this history is contained in less than the one square kilometer that comprises the Old City. Sometimes, as the full-time actors who keep the stage bustling, we lose track of the special surroundings which we live in. That is why we need all of the tourists to keep on trekking through to "Oh!" and "Ah!" and be our constant reminder of the miracle that we call home. "Ve-Shavu Banim LeGvulim", and the sons have returned to the borders (of their land)!

  • Synagogues  ( 15 items )
The history and the architecture of the synagogues in the Old City add much to the spirituality of our minyanim (services). Many buildings date back close to a thousand years; are home to Arks from around the world; and have traditions of hosting none other than Eliyahu HaNavi, Elijah the prophet.

And let us not forget -- from just about anywhere in the world, when you pray, you pray in the direction of our neighborhood, towards the Temple Mount!
