The Jerusalem Archaeological Park reveals amazing discoveries of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period. At the feet of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount, in the area known as the Ophel, visitors can climb up the original steps of the Hulda Gates that lead to the Temple. At the Southern edge of the Western Wall, on a Herodian Street, next to the stores, huge stones, fallen remains of the Temple can be seen, a remembrance of the destruction.
The Davidson Center is located in the Umayyad Palace complex. It houses an exhibit of the history of the Temple Mount as well as an internationally acclaimed virtual tour of the Temple Mount. The admission fee is 30 shekels for adults and 21 shekels for children and students. Hours are 9-4 in the winter, 5 p.m. int he summer (2 pm on Fridays).
